OUR STORY

Hello! We are Dave and Meriann Sanford, and we love to bake San Francisco style Artisan Sourdough bread with authentic live sourdough starter. It has been our passion and honor to cook and bake for the amazing people in our lives, and this adventure of opening the bakery is a natural extension of our passion for serving those around us. 
We have spent years working on the art of the tangy, chewy, scrumptious sourdough artisan loaves that San Francisco is so well known for. We moved to Round Rock from San Francisco Bay Area in 2018, and we are proud to be baking every loaf with our beloved wild yeast starter (that came from the City of San Francisco), which is now over 12 years old!
Sanford Sourdough Bakery just opened up the neighborhood production bakery in Round Rock so that we can meet the incredible demand of our amazing customers! We are honored to also be selling at multiple Farmer's Markets in our community.
